Farewell Ex-Alta 1

The pioneering cubesat Ex-Alta 1 completed its mission on November 14 and burned in the atmosphere, crowning a successful mission by the outstanding University of Alberta student team AlbertaSat.

Last contact with the cubesat was from 152 km altitude where housekeeping telemetry revealed on-board temperatures at 47 deg. Celsius in eclipse. Last two-way contact between Ex-Alta 1 and its home ground station was at 07:49:29 UTC on 2018-11-14, 4k8 GMSK on 436.705 MHz.

As the team analyzes the rich engineering and scientific data collected during the mission, they are already working on their next cubesat.
