Cheryl Barnabe

Associate Professor, Departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences, University of Calgary

Dr. Cheryl Barnabe is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. She is a Faculty Member of the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health, a Faculty Member and Co-Chair of the Group for Research with Indigenous Peoples (GRIP) with the O’Brien Institute for Public Health, and a scientist with Arthritis Research Canada.

Her research interests include health services research and Rheumatoid Arthritis, with a particular focus on characterizing and resolving inflammatory arthritis care and outcome disparities in Canada’s Indigenous populations.

Dr. Barnabe is the recipient of a CIHR New Investigator Award in Community-Based Primary Healthcare (2013) and was named one of Calgary’s Avenue Magazine Top 40 under 40 in 2015. Read more...
