Through Community School Gardens, children and youth benefit from the opportunity to make the connection between health, food/nutrition, education and the environment. Creation of Community School Gardens offers enhanced learning opportunities and hands-on learning outside the classroom for school-aged children and youth.

Our goal is to help community school gardens to thrive in Alberta through collaboration.

What is a Community School Garden?

Many successful school gardens find community partnership a key ingredient to their success. This could be the daycare centre next door, seniors associations, faith-based organizations, or other organizations in the neighborhood.
