Jerome Yager

Dr. Jerome Yager is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. He is a pediatric neurologist with a special interest in the fetal and neonatal brain.

His research interests include the effects of the uterine environment on fetal brain injury and ultimate infant and children outcomes, and the role of natural health products (broccoli sprouts) as preventative agents to fetal and newborn brain injury.

He is currently the Co-Principal Investigator on an Alberta Innovates Health Solutions project (Alberta Perinatal Stroke Program - $750,000), and Principal Investigator for NeuroDevNet, a National Centres of Excellence Grant (Animal Models of Cerebral Palsy - $200,000).
