Karin Olson is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta, where she teaches courses on research methods and chronic illness. Dr. Olson maintains an active research program in symptom management using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Her current projects are focused on developing an etiological model of fatigue that links behavioural and physiological markers, and on comparing the meaning of fatigue across cultures. She has taught courses on qualitative research methods in Thailand, Italy, and New Zealand.
