International Student Services

International Student Advisory Committee (ISAC)

ISAC is a student working group dedicated to sharing perspectives on international student programs and services and increasing international student engagement with the campus at large.

ISAC allows students to voice concerns and give feedback on-campus resources, supports and systems. It is also a platform for UAlberta International and campus partners to offer professional development to council members, as well as build awareness of services and resources available to international students.

ISAC members are encouraged to represent the diverse perspective of international students by attending events, meetings and to provide crossover representation on various committees. 


ISAC is open to international undergraduate or graduate students who hold a valid study permit and are active members of the campus community.  

*Preference is to students who have not been involved with ISS before.


ISAC members are expected to:

  • Participate for one full academic year
  • Attend monthly meetings 
  • Perform tasks with assigned working group 

Members may also serve as a student representative on high-level University committees

How to Apply?

*This position is selection-based.

UAI recruits new ISAC members every Spring.

 ISAC applicants must:

  1. Express interest on the ISS Volunteer Registration 
  2. ISS will contact you in the summer to submit an application
