Peking University - Summer Program Website

Overview

The Peking University Summer School International program offers a wide variety of academic courses taught in English from philosophy, culture, literature, economy, politics, international relations, to traditional body exercise and sports. It also provides Chinese language courses to the students at beginner’s level.

On weekends, field trips and cultural events in and around Beijing are organized: visiting the Great Wall, wandering in Hutongs, and seeing the superb acrobat shows. You will meet and befriend PKU students on various occasions, from Pas (Program Assistants), Tas (Teaching Assistants), to classmates, language partners, and student clubs.

All courses will be held at the Peking University campus. The PKU Summer School International Program is open to international students as well as Chinese students (including students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).

Students who are Canadian citizens applying for this program are encouraged to apply for funding through the Canada Learning Initiative in China (CLIC) program. (Please note there will be no CLIC funding for Summer 2020 due to COVID-19).
