Eligibility Requirements
Open to: Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Social Science students
Level: Senior Undergraduate (3rd or 4th year), Graduate

- Program dates within the May-August parameter are somewhat flexible, and would be determined by the availability of academic supervisors. Please indicate the desired start date and intended internship duration in the letter of intent.
- Students must be currently enrolled at University of Alberta as full-time students
- Students must be returning to classes in the Fall 2023 term
- Undergraduates must have completed at least 2 years of a degree program by the time of the internship placement
- German language skills are not required, the working language will generally be English

TUD provide a monthly scholarship of 800 Euro to assist in accommodation/living costs. They also provide a one-time payment of 600 Euro travel subsidy.
DEADLINE TO APPLY - January 30, 2024
Successful candidates will be contacted in February/March by the academic supervisor at TUD they applied to in order to draw up a working plan and to arrange a period between May and August for the research stay.
After this they will be officially accepted into the program and the international office of TU Dresden will assist with all organizational and administrative steps to prepare the stay. The participants will be offered a room in the international guesthouse.
Fees & Costs
TU Dresden does not charge tuition, however there is a 290 Euro mandatory enrolment fee.
Estimated monthly costs:
- accommodation: €250
- cost of living: €450
- health insurance: €80
- accident insurance and personal liability insurance: €20
Much of the estimated costs are offset by the €800 monthly stipend. Students should also apply to Go Abroad funding when submitting their application to this program.
