What Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) has to offer:
- Established in 1896, XJTU belongs to the C9 League, the alliance of nine elite universities in mainland China, analogous to the Ivy League.
- A comprehensive research-oriented university with a major emphasis on the fields of science and engineering. It offers 10 branches of learning, including science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy, education and art.
- Located in Xi’an, one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization.
- Full of history, Xi’an is home to numerous historical sites and attractions. Some of the top sights to see in Xi’an includes the Army of Terracotta Warriors, the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and the Big Goose Pagoda.
Students who are Canadian citizens applying for this exchange are encouraged to apply for funding through the Canada Learning Initiative in China (CLIC) program.
Students applying for this exchange who are not Canadian citizens have other funding options open to them.

For accommodation, on-campus dormitory and apartment options are available at XJTU. Both the dormitory and apartment are offered on the reservation, first-come and first-served basis. Please note that the housing reservations for the Fall semester are not guaranteed due to large influx of housing requests.
