International Student Work Experience Program (ISWEP)
The International Student Work Experience Program (ISWEP) offers funding and support for University of Alberta departments and off-campus employers to hire international undergraduate students during the summer, providing students with opportunities to gain valuable Canadian work experience and develop skills. Funding for this program is received from the differential fees paid by international undergraduate students.
Student Information
ISWEP summer jobs are an excellent way for you to gain valuable Canadian work experience and earn money while studying. The types of positions and duties vary; students with an assortment of educational backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible, you must be a full-time undergraduate international student who has paid differential fees. No registration is required to participate in the program.
Students graduating in June are not eligible for ISWEP.
Eligible students apply to the ISWEP summer jobs, which are usually posted on the Campus Bridge from late March through April.
