UAlberta Pride Week and Campus And Community Recreation are excited to host Pride Week All Bodies Swim. We invite you to come out and enjoy a fun afternoon swim to celebrate the beauty and diversity that occupies all queer bodies! This event aims to create a body positive event for members of the 2SLBTQ+ community.

During the Pride Week All Bodies Swim event the West Pool will be closed to those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ2+ Community. Please respect this closed event and please sign up only if you identify as 2SLGBTQ2+.

Closed physical recreation spaces can mitigate the amount of body scrutiny, homophobia, and transphobia that unfortunately is so common in many sports environments. This event is intended to create a space that is safer and affirming of people with a variety of sexualities and genders. Our aim through this event is to give members of the 2SLGBTQ2+ an opportunity to swim in a space that creates a better environment which will allow them to freely express themselves and their gender identity.

If you are interested in other recreational activities, Pride Week Dodgeball will take place on Thursday, March 12th from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Please visit for a list of all events happening this week!
