Background

Dr. Craig Cameron holds a cross-sector appointment between the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association, the Recreation and Physical Activity Branch of Alberta's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta. The partnership that supports this position is unique to Canada's recreation sector bringing together leaders in education, research, professional development, and policy. Dr. Cameron is an Action Canada Fellow (2005) and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar (2010).


Research

Dr. Cameron's scholarly interests focus on the role of applied philosophy and public policy in shaping governance, administration, and program decisions in recreation and sport contexts.
