Background
Dr. Carson is currently supported by a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) New Investigator Salary Award. Before starting at the University of Alberta, Dr. Carson completed postdoctoral fellowships with the Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research group (HALO) at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute and with the Centre for Physical activity and Nutrition Research (CPAN) at Deakin University in Australia. Her graduate training was from Queen’s University where she completed her PhD and University of Alberta where she completed her Master’s degree.
