Whats Happening

Campus & Community Recreation is launching a new and improved way to browse, register and pay for recreational programming at the University of Alberta!

The new website will be launched on Monday, June 11, 2018.

We will experience a few minor service interruptions as we migrate to the new system. Here are a few key dates to be aware of:

  • The migration period takes place from Sunday, May 20 to Tuesday, May 22, 2018. During this time, all our services will be on a full blackout. We will not be able to process any registrations, account updates or payments in-person, online or over the phone during this time.
  • Our online system (Activity Registration) will be down for implementation of all new services from Wednesday, May 23 to Sunday, June 10, 2018. During this online blackout period¸you will not be able to register in or pay for any recreation programming online.
  • Good news! We will be able to take registration and payment information during the online blackout period in-person or over the phone at either of our Customer Service Centres.
  • The new online system will launch on Monday, June 11, 2018 at www.activityreg.ualberta.ca

General FAQs

  • What is a recreation management system?

A recreation management system (RMS) is a network that manages all of Campus & Community Recreation’s activities and memberships. The RMS enables us to manage client-based interactions such as registrations, payments, cancellations, ticket purchases and client email communication. The RMS also hosts our online system, Activity Registration

  • Why did you move to a new system

The old recreation management system (RMS) will no longer be supported or updated by the manufacturer. To keep up with clients’ needs paired with the desire to provide a better and more user-friendly online service, we have decided to update the RMS to a new manufacturer.

With the new RMS, we are able to provide better service to our customers via our online system Activity Registration, as well as support expansion of services in the future.
