The Turkey Trot is a fun run/footrace, 4KM Walk/Run or 8KM Run, that is customarily held around Thanksgiving and sees vast participation throughout Canada and the United States. Many organizations hold Turkey Trot events a week or two prior to Thanksgiving in order to raise funds for local charities and provide festive holiday meals to homeless/low-income families in the community.
The University of Alberta Turkey Trot traditionally attracts between 500 and 600 University of Alberta Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni and people from around the Community – this event is open to EVERYONE!
This year we are supporting the United Way and Campus Food Bank. Be sure to register prior to September 1st to guarantee a t-shirt. The first 200 registrants will also be entered into a draw to win a Fitbit!
