The University of Alberta Wilson Climbing Centre played host to 200 competitors and twice as many spectators in support of friends and family competing this past December, 2016. It marked an incredible year of climbing competition at the Wilson Climbing Centre with a local bouldering event known as the Tour de Bloc - the Canadian Bouldering Series which the University of Alberta has been hosting since 2004 in its previous location the Van Vliet Complex. This annual bench -mark event in Alberta was sanctioned by the Alberta Climbing Association, our Provincial Sport Organization.
