Undergraduate Student Advising
The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation has a strong group of student advisors who support students from the moment they apply to the day they graduate. During your time as a Faculty student, you will be assigned an advisor to who will provide a supportive, confidential environment to help you:
- Clarify education and career goals
- Explore programs within the Faculty
- Navigate from first year through to graduation
- Connect to additional resources on campus
Students are responsible for:
- Registering in courses and building their own schedules
- Understanding degree and program requirements as specified by the U of A Calendar
- Accessing additional student resources when required
- Taking responsibility for their academic, career and personal goals
Before you meet with your advisor:
- Make a list of questions you want to ask
- Explore the U of A Calendar and our website for information pertaining to your questions

Incoming high school students are encouraged to contact a High School Prospective Student Advisor.
Incoming transfer students from another post-secondary institution are encouraged to book an appointment with the Transfer Prospective Student Advisor Leslie Flett (ksr.info@ualberta.ca)
