Dr. Natalie Kononenko awarded FSAC 2020 Marius Barbeau Medal

The Folklore Studies Association of Canada (FSAC) has awarded the 2020 Marius Barbeau Medal to University of Alberta Professor Emerita Dr. Natalie Kononenko, a renowned American and Canadian folklorist. Since 1978, the Folklore Studies Association of Canada (FSAC) has given an award in recognition of a remarkable contribution to folklore and ethnology. Dr. Kononenko was the Kule Chair of Ukrainian Ethnography from 2004-2019. The Kule Folklore Center extends our congratulations to Dr. Kononenko on this well deserved achievement!
