Archiving During the Pandemic: Ukrainian Heritage Collections in Canada

The event will consist of two round table discussions. The first round table will provide an update on the activities at three Ukrainian Canadian heritage repositories: from Natalia Mysakowec of the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre (Toronto, ON), Olenka Skrypnyk of the Ukrainian Cultural and Education Centre Oseredok (Winnipeg, MA), and Ashley Halko-Addley of the Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives (Edmonton, AB), moderated by Maryna Chernyavska.

The speakers of the second round table include Bohdana Bashuk of the Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko, Andriy Sawchuk of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Archives Committee, and Maryna Chernyavska of the Kule Folklore Centre, University of Alberta, moderated by Natalia Khanenko-Friesen.

All are welcome. Attendees will be able to ask questions and provide comments. Ukrainian Canadian community organizations that care for heritage collections or those who are interested in preserving their institutional archives are especially encouraged to participate.
