Mykhailo Bilas (1924-2016) was a winner of the National Artist of Ukraine award and was known for his artwork in textiles and his vibrant exhibits portraying life of Ukrainian peasants. His colorful art pieces are in museums and private collections throughout Ukraine, USA, Canada, Europe and parts of Asia. In 2019 Iryna Vorobiova curated the “Virtual museum of Mykhailo Bilas” project for a Ukrainian cultural foundation in Kyiv, Ukraine. She shares her insight on Mykhailo ' s work in this presentation.

Presenter Bio: Iryna received her degree from the University of Tartu (Estonia) Philology in Russian language and literature. Throughout her career she has managed many cultural, art, and charity projects. She is an author and curator of more than 30 art projects, art exhibitions, and cultural events. Iryna has 15 years of experience directing a charity organization and is the author of 8 publications and books.
