The Kule Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) and the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights (JHC) are working together to bring a series of important conversations and debates to the Edmonton community, and abroad.
Get Out and Stay Out: conversations about multiculturalism was a dialogue between two important scholars on issues that directly affect Edmontonians, Canadians, and citizens around the world. Dr Alana Lentin, University of Western Sydney, "The Crises of Multiculturalism: Racism in a Neoliberal Age," and Dr Mojtaba Mahdavi, University of Alberta, "Towards a Dignity of Difference? Neither End of History Nor Clash of Civilizations" engaged in a dialogue around racism, xenophobia, and multiculturalism in this important event. Get Out gave Edmontonians a space to discuss these issues critically.
