Van Gogh Up Close

Van Gogh Up Close: Religion and Science in Late 19th Century Images of Nature

Professor Joan Greer led a very special course in the 2012 spring session for senior undergraduates and graduate students interested in images of nature in the art of Vincent Van Gogh. KIAS was excited to work with Professor Greer and the National Gallery of Canada on this great opportunity for the students at the University of Alberta. One week of the course included travel to Ottawa to study at the National Gallery. Students participated in a research dissemination activity open to the public, which celebrated their work from the course and shared their outcomes with their research communities.
