Health law expert Erin Nelson reviews breaches to Health Law Information Act

Professor Erin Nelson of the University of Alberta Faculty of Law will present a webinar about breaches to the Health Information Act at an upcoming Health Law Section-North meeting of the Canadian Bar Association.

Her address will review breaches of the Health Information Act, their apparent increasing frequency and their consequences (or lack thereof), and the potential role for claims in “intrusion upon exclusion.”

Nelson, ‘95 LLB, is a fellow and member of the advisory board of the Health Law Institute, and teaches tort law, health care ethics and the law, and law & medicine at the U of A. She holds a JSD and LLM in health law from Columbia University.

The webinar takes place at noon MDT on Wednesday April 28.

It is free to full section member and to U of A Law student members but REGISTRATION is required.
