Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway – NCA Accreditation

Practicing Law In Canada

Lawyers who have obtained their law degree outside of Canada and wish to practice law in Canada can take advantage of the unique initiative offered by the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. The Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway serves as an alternate route to the NCA accreditation process – the qualification process to practice law in Canada – and prepares internationally educated lawyers to enter the Canadian legal profession.

International law graduates can obtain the necessary equivalency qualification to practice law in Canada through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA).
