Hiring a University of Alberta Law Student

Attracting legal talent to your firm is a priority in order to ensure adequate succession planning and to keep pace with growth in the firm. The University of Alberta law students have been provided with an excellent background in law with their many required courses and come prepared to act as strong team members taking with them the collegiality they are noted for in this law school. Past students have become leaders in their field, and include the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, head of international corporations, politicians at every level of government,managing partners at international firms, and board members of various public interest law organizations. The Career Services Office at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law provides firms opportunities to meet our students in various events throughout the year, including the following:

  • On-campus Interview events

  • Firm Hops

  • Job Shadowing Program

  • Seminars for students on various topics
