Graduate & Post-Doc Program

Post-Doc Leadership Development

Swim: Graduate Leadership Development by the Peter Lougheed Leadership College. [Icon of people helping one another]

Choose this stream if you are a post-doc who wants to develop your ability to meet the leadership challenges unique to academic institutions and connect with academic leaders on campus.

Academic leaders on campus share their expertise and experiences to build your capacity to navigate the complex higher education environment. Develop your personal leadership skills while considering the importance of organizational structure and context. Attend one or all four workshops to connect with other post-docs and help build a post-doc community on campus.

Each 1.5 hour event includes a one hour workshop followed by informal networking reception:

  • 5 - 6 pm: Workshop
  • 6 - 6:30 pm: Networking reception for participants with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres

There is no cost or application to participate, but registration is required. Graduate students may be invited to attend a Swim workshop if the event does not reach capacity.
