2020 John Thibault Good Citizenship Award

Congratulations to Mira Shenouda, the MMI the 2020 John Thibault Good Citizenship award recipient.
Mira was co-chair of IRD 2020 and played an integral role in transforming it into an online conference during COVID-19. She serves as co-president of the S2BN student group, and leads a University-wide team of graduate students to host national networking events that have been broadcast across Canada. Mira also works with BioAlberta to address gaps that should increase employment opportunities for graduate students. Beyond these and other activities, Mira is described as kind, thoughtful and the type to make a strong effort towards improving the community. “Mira NEVER thinks twice about helping someone out”.
With these warm words of citizenship, we wish everyone in MMI and the Thibault family a beautiful and loving holiday.
