Lunch Time Talks

Annually in September, the Global Health Office offers a lunch time talk to first year students called “Planning for a Global Health Elective” to introduce them to Global Health international elective opportunities.  This year, the lunch time talk will take place on:  Friday, September 13, 2019, noon – 12:50 pm in Katz 1-080.  We encourage learners to attend the talk as there will be an opportunity to engage with the Director of Global Health Dr. Dominic Allain who can answer questions and provide comprehensive information about the international experience.  If you miss the presentation, you can access invaluable information about the Global Health Offices' offerings in the video above.  You are welcome to email ghfomd@ualberta.ca with your questions.  Helpful information can also be found in the following powerpoint presentation created by a medical student who went to Fudan University, Shanghai and Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Nepal in the last 2 years: Connor Lengkeek GH presentation Students interested in global health electives may be interested in reading the book Hoping to Help:  The Promises and Pitfalls of Global Health Volunteering by Judith N.
