HYRS is still accepting applications for the summer work program despite the current COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline to apply however, has been moved to midnight May 2, 2020. We are hopeful that the aggressive mitigating efforts currently in place will allow for a safe return to work by July. Updated information will be posted here periodically.
The University of Alberta is accepting applications for the Alberta Innovates Heritage Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) Program. HYRS is a six-week program from July 2 to August 13, 2020, designed for students from Alberta high schools to gain first-hand experience in biomedical and health research, and to introduce them to career opportunities in research. We invite students who are thinking about pursuing a future career in science apply. Application deadline is midnight May 2, 2020. Students are welcome to complete the application online (see link below). They are also welcome to download a copy of the application (see link below). All printed applications forms must mailed in post dated no later than May 2, 2020. Note: only one version of the application -- online or printed -- will be accepted.
