FEC Standards and ARO

FEC Standards

Each Faculty has its own Faculty Evaluation Committee Standards:
All follow the Faculty Agreement
Assesses academic activity in reporting period July 1 – June 30
Used for annual assessment of merit
Used at distinct career junctures:
Tenure & Promotion (mandatory)
Associate to Full Professor (optional)
Sabbaticals (optional)
Emeritus Professor (optional)
Current FEC Guidelines are > 10 years old
New FoMD FEC Standards approved November 2017:
Effective with next academic reporting cycle: July 1 2018 – June 30, 2019
Applied for the first time at FEC in November 2019

Annual Report Online (ARO)

Mandatory to submit a complete and accurate ARO on time
ARO data used to inform decisions about your career at FEC
Your ARO data can be saved and accessed later to help with promotions
