My primary appointment is to the Department of Pediatrics. I would describe myself as a clinical educator, researcher and administrator.
My clinical interests include heart failure and cardiac transplantation, as well as general cardiology. My educational interests are allied with this, including producing guidelines and acting as a Royal College examiner. My research interests are in biomarkers, cardiac energy metabolism and cardiomyopathies. I am the director of the Children’s Heart Failure Study Group.
I would be able to provide mentorship in clinical and education domains for pediatric residents and undergraduate students. I have had previous mentoring experience with basic science research and graduate students.
