My primary appointment is to the department of Medicine.
I would describe myself as a clinical scholar and educator. My job description is clinical (45%), education (25%), administration (20%) and research (10%).
In my clinical practice I have a special interest in breathing disorders during sleep. Previously I was the Medical Director of Sleep Laboratory. In education I have participated in small group teaching of Year one medical students (Discovery Learning), and have been active in bedside teaching of trainees in the Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine post-grad programs. In research I conduct clinical trials and collaborative research related to respirology. I am a member of the Pulmonary Research Group.
I would be able to provide mentorship for anyone interested in undergraduate and post-graduate medical education, and could provide guidance and support to junior faculty members with major time commitment in clinical practice.
