I am a full professor in the Department of Pediatrics. I have cross appointments to the departments of Surgery and Pharmacology.
I would describe myself as a clinical scientist and administrator, and my job description involves 55% research, 25% Clinical activity, 10% administration, and 10% education.
In my research endeavours I have a CIHR-funded research program and excellent productivity, a program for training of clinical investigators, and have impactful research.
In clinical practice I have developed Policy guidelines and recommendations in neonatal resuscitation and care.
With regards to administration I am the Divisional Director of Neonatology, and Interim Director for WCHRI.
My education contributions include creating a course in neonatology, and creating a joint program of neonatal–perinatal medicine and master of sciences in fellowship program with successful graduates.
I would be willing to provide mentorship in research, and clinical practice, especially to those interested in clinical researcher, investigator, and scientist paths in clinical departments of FOMD.
