Best practices of assessment in education series

Dwight Harley, in conjunction with the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education, offers a series of five noon-hour seminars focusing on the best practices of assessment. The seminars cover topics ranging from test-item development to item analysis and standard setting:

  • Basic principles of assessment
  • Constructing effective multiple-choice items
  • Developing short answer and completion-type items
  • Item analysis for the stat-a-phobic
  • Basics of standard setting
