Discovery learning (DL) sessions, which use a team-effort problem-based learning approach, are an integral part of the Undergraduate Medical Education curriculum in years one and two.
Discovery learning facilitation requires particular teaching skills, and in turn, is highly rewarding to those who invest their efforts in such facilitation.
Multiple discovery learning preceptor training sessions are offered each year by the DL director, Dr. Tim Winton.
