Anti-Racism: Recognition

The ARCTC recommends an audit of criteria and outcomes of FoMD awards for faculty, researchers, learners and staff.

This includes a study of Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) representation in award nominees and recipients by Faculty Learning, Research and Faculty Affairs committees (FAC) in collaboration with the members of the ARCTC task force.

The faculty will also prioritize the promotion of awards for anti-racism work.

We understand the need to audit for racial equity the language in standards for tenure and promotion.

We perform periodic measures and assessment of outcomes after a review by the Office of Faculty Development and EDI in 2017-2018.

Our future

There must be an alignment between requests for promotion and merit and information on unprofessional and racist behaviour. We recognize that this is subject to policies and regulations to be reviewed by the Faculty Evaluation Committee (FEC).
