Learn what’s happening for Alumni Weekend, a collection of nearly 50 events hosted by the Alumni Association (labelled as Signature Events) and their partners (including the FoMD). Note that some faculties are offering events open to all alumni. Visit this link to see all events.

Dental Hygiene Reunion Reception

Join your UAlberta dental hygiene classmates for a casual afternoon of refreshments and snacks. Those in graduating anniversary years (5, 10, 15, etc.) will be honoured with a special gift.

Medical Laboratory Science Alumni Reception

Reconnect with former MLS classmates and colleagues while watching the sunset over the gorgeous green and gold river valley. Enjoy cocktails and appetizers while you catch up at this casual evening reception. This event is open to all MLS alumni and a guest.

FoMD Alumni Brunch

Cap off an eventful 2020 Alumni Weekend with brunch. We will celebrate our amazing alumni community and salute the newest cohort of FoMD alumni who have won Alumni Awards. This event is open to all FoMD alumni and their guests.

Alumni Awards

Celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of alumni and get inspired to do great things. The UAlberta Alumni Awards ceremony honours the diverse accomplishments and contributions of outstanding grads. The ceremony is followed by a dessert reception where you can meet and congratulate award recipients.
Thursday, September 24 Doors: 6:30pm.
Ceremony: 7:00pm.
Reception: 8:30-10:00pm
Location: Northern Jubilee Auditorium

Hospitality Centre

Whether you need to pick up your registration package, sign up for a campus tour, pick up some UAlberta swag or just relax with a cup of coffee, the Hospitality Centre in SUB is the place during Alumni Weekend. We can provide event information and directions, connect you with the Campus Express shuttles, and answer any other questions you might have about Alumni Weekend and UAlberta.

Does the end of summer give you that back-to-school itch? Scratch it by heading back to class for a day — without the stress of studying, homework or exams. Choose from an exciting catalogue of lectures and hear from some of UAlberta's best! Build your course schedule and learn just for the fun of it. Choose as many classes as you like for tuition of only $10!

Kids on Campus

Explore activities all over campus with your kids, including:

  • An indoor stage show at the Myer Horowitz Theatre, featuring Will Stroet.
  • Experiments, tours and demonstrations at the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS), presented by the Faculty of Science.
  • Nature-themed building projects and demonstrations at Engineering Quad and the Donadeo Innovation Centre, presented by the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Storytelling with visiting elders, presented by the Faculty of Native Studies.
  • Food trucks and picnic spots on Main Quad.
