The Research Committee is a departmental standing committee reporting to the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine. It meets monthly (first Thursday from 08:30 - 10:00) during the academic year (September to June).
The Research Committee co-ordinates and facilitates research activities in the Department of Family Medicine by:
- establishing overall long-range departmental research goals, directions and objectives,
- acting as an information resource body to departmental members on matters related to research,
- organizing research faculty development activities, and
- endeavoring to ensure that research studies of scientific merit are conducted in an ethical, scientifically sound, and efficient manner.
