Faculty excellence

Dr. Shelley Ross, Department of Family Medicine, has been awarded Honorary Membership in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).

Dr. Stephen Aaron, Department of Medicine, was named 2022 Distinguished Teacher - Educator Canadian Rheumatology Association.

Sally Lockwood, School of Dentistry, is the recipient of the 2021 W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education

Dr. Kevin Lung, School of Dentistry, is the recipient of the 2021 Bulyea Cup.

Learners as leaders

Dr. Jessica Marciano, fifth-year endocrinology resident, was awarded the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Dr. John Dupré Award for her work entitled “Long-Term Follow-up of Men with Macroprolactinomas, Managed With or Without Surgery.”

Dr. Abigail White, PhD student and surgical resident in the Surgical Simulation Research Lab, received the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry/Alberta Health Services Graduate Student Recruitment Studentship.

Iain Saunder, third-year MD student working on the initiative "Active Mind, Active Body," has recently been shortlisted by the Health Quality Council of Alberta for the annual Patient Experience Award.

Calvin J. Gordon, PhD student in medical microbiology and immunology, was recognized by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a 2022 JBC/Tabor Award. Well done!
