TWO options for purchasing a calendar:

  • Calendars can be bought directly from Dr. Aung's office or via the AHHM Program office at UAlberta (corner of 87th Ave and 114th St.; call ahead of coming at 780-492-0980).

The AHHM Program gratefully acknowledges the kindness and generous support of Dr. Steven Aung for sharing his wisdom, time and energy in creating these calendars in support of program activities.

Direct Donation

Please consider making a direct financial contribution in support of the Arts & Humanities in Health & Medicine Program. Donors and program sponsors create opportunities for various events and educational opportunities for students, residents, faculty and allied health-care professionals.

Your support will help with the continued development and expansion the AHHM Program, and help further the goal of being a leading health humanities program in Canada.

Funds that have been provided to date in support of the AHHM Program have been (and continue to be) directed to program infrastructure and special events, visiting speakers from across Canada and abroad, international student exchange activities, research and summer studentships and learner recognition.

Future funds will support the expansion of the Arts & Humanities in Health & Medicine Program, including such initiatives as:

  • Writers/Artists in Residencies
  • Visiting Professorships
  • Endowing a Chair

"Why I Support the AHHM Program .... "
I support the AHHM Program because, in these difficult financial times, we are in serious danger of getting our priorities wrong. Humanities and the arts help us to keep our perspective so we can make decisions about the future of medicine properly, in the right context, and with the right guiding principles. The arts and humanities illuminate what is truly important in life and help to make medical practice relevant and responsive to individuals and communities in the real world.
