Narrative Reflective Practice

Over the past few years we have been exploring the pedagogical potentials of a variety of narrative approaches to reflective practice, at the University of Alberta, as part of a developmental undergraduate curriculum (Cave & Clandinin, 2012). This introductory NRP module makes use of film and facilitated small group discussions as a means of introducing narrative reflective practice to pre-clinical medical students. Selected film-based narratives provide a starting point for shared inquiry and reflection.
