Recruitment

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry has a national recruitment policy-students and graduates come from across Canada. They represent Abenaki, Blackfoot, Cree, Delaware, Inuit, Iroquois, Métis, Micmac, Maliseet, Mohawk, Ojibwa, Odawa and Saulteaux Nations.

Aboriginal MD and DDS students and graduates travel across Canada with an administrator to inform other Aboriginal youth about the University of Alberta and the IHI program. They appear at national and regional career fairs, workshops, schools, universities, conferences, etc.

Recruitment posters featuring Aboriginal students are produced and distributed to schools, organizations and interested individuals across Canada.
