With the emergence of many new collaborative tools, technology has become an important factor in collaborative learning. The Internet has allowed for a shared space for groups to communicate, including virtual environments that have allowed people to communicate long-distances yet still feel like they are part of the group.
We are now seeing development of new technology that support collaborative learning in education as well as the workplace. These tools are intended to allow for a stronger, more powerful and engaging learning environment - such as the ability to record and map the flow of ideas, use 3D models and virtual world’s mind mapping tools.
L3 intends to make full use of these technology enabled tools in order to accomplish the goals of CLU, as envisaged in the section above.
