L3 + KER

Dr. Ian Hargraves, from Knowledge, Evaluation and Research (KER) Unit, Mayo Clinic, was in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the invitation of Lifelong Learning (L3) and Physician Learning Program (PLP), Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta. Dr. Ian Hargraves is one of the pioneers of the concept of Shared Decision Making (SDM) and Conversation Aids. http://shareddecisions.mayoclinic.org/

While in Edmonton, Dr. Hargraves put up an accredited workshop and a lecture on Shared Decision Making (SDM) using specifically designed Conversation Aids to facilitate dialogue between physicians and patients.

Partnership between Lifelong Learning, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta and Knowledge, Evaluation and Research (KER) Unit, Mayo Clinic will enable us to work collaboratively with the KER Unit to continue their immensely successful work of designing Conversation Aids and Decision Tools in order to promote the concept of Shared Decision Making (SDM).
