The definition for "Resident of Alberta"
Applicants may request Special Consideration from the MD Admissions Committee. Requests for Special Consideration will only be accepted through the Special Consideration Request form
during the specified time frames below. Please note that you must be logged into your UAlberta.ca email account to access the form and submit your request. You must submit a formal letter of request and relevant supporting documentation with all requests. Your formal letter of request should be no more than one page in length and describe the reason you are requesting Special Consideration as well as why you feel you should be provided an exception. It should clearly explain what happened, why it happened, what the outcomes were, and, if applicable, what precautions or measures the applicant has taken or will take to ensure that the issue will have no further impact on the applicant's academic performance.

Application Open and Close Dates
The application for Fall 2019 admission is expected to open July 3, 2018. The deadline to complete and submit your Undergraduate Application for Admission and Secondary Medicine Application as well as submit all supporting documentation is October 1, 2018.
Last MCAT Testing Date
The last MCAT testing date that we will accept for the 2018/2019 application cycle is August 25, 2018. Please note that we are only accepting scores from the MCAT2015; scores from January 2015 or earlier will not be accepted.
We will only be accepting CASPer scores completed during Fall 2018; we have not yet been assigned testing dates. If you have completed the CASPer for another institution we will accept your score from that test. As per Altus Assessments, you are not allowed to complete the CASPer more than once per application cycle.
