Overview:
  • The Community of Research (CoRE) is a program designed to supplement the research education of trainees at U of A
  • CoRE focuses on developing tangible research competencies important for the effective practice of evidence-based medicine and for nurturing aspiring Clinician Scientists.
Objectives:

Completing this elective should:

  • Support medical and graduate trainees in their pathways to becoming Clinician Scientists
  • Provide connections for shadowing clinician-scientists
  • Provide training opportunities designed to create fundamental research competencies in medical students that go above and beyond the current Evidence-Based Medicine curriculum
  • Facilitate opportunities for medical students to get exposed to various types of research

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All medical and graduate trainees in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta
