Provides an exposure to clinical medicine
Objectives:

KNOWLEDGE TO GAIN:

  • Develop an approach to common infectious disease problems such as bone and joint infections, surgical site infections and febrile neutropenia.
  • Be aware of illnesses mimicking infection
  • Understanding infectious disease entities, antibiotic uses and side effects.
  • Witness the art of consultation.

SKILLS TO ACQUIRE:

  • History taking and physical exam skills.

ATTITUDES TO LEARN:

Respect for patients, appreciation of different practice patterns, and sharing of constructive suggestions.
