Overview: |
This two week elective in clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology will allow students to experience working in a tertiary level hospital in Edmonton.Students will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of areas, including office clinics, the labour and delivery unit and surgical theatres. |
Objectives: |
As a focus in Maternal Fetal Medicine, students will have the opportunity to observe in the Perinatal Clinic at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the tertiary level referral center for Maternal Fetal Medicine for Northern and Central Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Eastern British Columbia and Western Saskatchewan. Elective students on this rotation will also have the opportunity where possible to attend weekly rounds, academic half-days and participate in call if interested.
