Overview: |
Students will be assigned to a preceptor that specializes in either upper extremity injury, lower extremity injury, or trauma. Students will be expected to travel, as their preceptor may work out multiple hospital sites as well as a private clinic. Students will get exposure to the OR, clinic, fracture rounds, wards, call, and consults. Teaching is delivered by both the preceptor and resident team as time allows. Students can request a pediatric preceptor, if desired. |
Objectives: |
The student will learn how to assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with painful joints, osteoarthritis, fractures, musculoskeletal tumours, and spine issues. |
