Overview: |
Assessment and management of children with pulmonary, asthma and sleep disorders. |
Objectives: |
To develop an approach to diagnosis of patients with pulmonary symptoms including wheeze, cough, shortness of breath and hypoxia. The students will help develop a rational plan for investigation and management of patients with common pulmonary problems. They will also participate in the evaluation of patients with sleep disordered breathing. The students will develop physical examination skills and be introduced to interpretations of Pulmonary Function Testing. |

There are no prerequisites for electives in Pediatric Pulmonology. Electives can be a minimum of 1 week up to a maximum of 4 weeks. |
